We created a website presenting key findings from the Dunedin Study's article on cannabis use, aiding New Zealanders in making informed decisions ahead of the 2020 Cannabis Referendum.
From a 40-page academic article, we crafted an intuitive single-page website with user-friendly navigation, using "Learn More" links to guide users to research sections. We combined design principles and motion graphics for engaging data presentation. Mobile-responsive animations were achieved using Lottie and After Effects, while custom codes added interactive sound effects and animations. Emphasis on SEO and integrated social media links boosted the site's visibility and reach.
Our project transformed academic research into an accessible digital tool for New Zealanders facing a crucial decision. Combining design and technology, the website not only captivated users but also emphasised the value of informed voting during the 2020 Cannabis Referendum.
